Hey, time is precious. I dunno about you, but it is my no.1 commodity!
So save yourself a lot of it – and a lot of stress – by identifying your triggers when it comes to nutrition.
Or your obstacles or ‘weak points’… whatever you want to call it – and prioritize meal prepping for those exact moments.
Here’s what I mean –
Example: I have no problem making myself a healthy breakfast and lunch. I’m a morning person. I feel good earlier in the day and have lots of energy, both physically and mentally. I WANT to eat healthy during the day because my goals are front-of-mind and important to me.
But as the day nears to an end, that all seems to change! I’m getting worn down. I’m tired, physically and mentally. So my goals don’t seem as important, I kinda forget about them. Weird, I know. But maybe you can relate.
So dinner time for me is a whole ‘nother story! If I don’t have a healthy portions-measured-out meal waiting for me in the fridge at 6pm, there’s a really good chance I’m not gonna be eating for my goals that day! Plain and simple.
So for me, dinners are my trigger or ‘weak point’. Therefore, I want to leverage my prepping time to cover my dinners. No point spending my precious time prepping a week’s worth of breakfasts – I got that in the bag already! I need to focus my time on prepping dinners.
So… identify where you struggle most and focus on prepping to support yourself through those more vulnerable times.
