Uncontrollable weight gain. An inability to lose weight no matter what I did — or didn’t do. Sweating buckets. Weird skin stuff. Non-existent quality sleep.
I could accept that these things were part of perimenopause. What I couldn’t accept was being told there was nothing I could do about them.
Turns out, I was right.
But figuring that out took a LOT of digging, learning and experimenting — and years I wish I could get back.
When My Own Body Stopped Making Sense
As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist™, I’d spent years learning to look for root causes and connections within the body. I understood that a significant change in one system could have ripple effects throughout. I knew how to help other people.
What I didn’t understand was just how profound those effects could be when hormones started shifting. And I certainly hadn’t learned enough about those connections to know what to actually do about them — for myself.
So I did what any nutrition nerd would do. I researched like it was my job — because, quite literally, it was.
I read. I learned. I questioned. I experimented. I paid close attention to what was happening in my own body. And slowly, things started to make sense.
What I Discovered Changed Everything
The symptoms I was experiencing weren’t random. They were connected — to hormonal shifts, to metabolism changes, to the way my body was processing nutrients differently than it had for the previous four decades of my life.
Once I understood the why, I could finally work on the what to do about it.
What I discovered changed the way I approach nutrition, metabolism and midlife health — not just for myself, but for every woman I now work with.
You Shouldn’t Have to Figure This Out Alone
Here’s what frustrates me most: too many women are navigating these changes while getting nothing concrete or effective to support them through it. They’re told it’s normal. They’re told to eat less and move more. They’re told to wait it out.
That’s not good enough.
Because you shouldn’t have to spend years frustrated, confused and wondering what the hell happened to your body. You deserve to understand what’s happening, why it’s happening, and — most importantly — what you can actually do about it.
That’s why I do what I do. And that’s what I’m here to help you with.

You do not have to accept that these unwanted changes are ‘just a part of menopause’.
There are very real, manageable root causes behind those changes during this phase of life and YES, there are things we can do to mitigate those changes.
