If you’ve been in my circle for a while, you know that my approach to nutrition has never been about quick fixes, restrictive diets or white-knuckling your way through another round of “eat less, exercise more.”
I’ve always believed that the most effective way to change your body and your health is to understand what’s happening underneath the surface and address the root factors driving it.
But then menopause happened.
And suddenly, some of the things that had worked for me for years… weren’t working the same way anymore.
I watched the scale climb even though I hadn’t changed what I was eating.
I worked hard at my diet and exercise and still saw very little change.
My sleep became unpredictable. I felt fatigued for reasons I couldn’t quite explain. And my hot flashes became so intense that I couldn’t even wear makeup or body lotion because they seemed to trap the heat.
It was so frustrating. And honestly, scary… because I didn’t know when it would stop!
I knew the science. I knew how to eat. I knew how to exercise. I was doing the things I had always taught other people to do.
So why did my body suddenly seem to be playing by a completely different set of rules?
The answer wasn’t simply “eat less.”
As estrogen declines through peri- and post-menopause, it can influence a whole network of biological systems involved in metabolism, blood sugar regulation, appetite, thyroid function, stress, sleep and body composition.
And that changes the strategy.
This isn’t about finding the perfect diet or trying harder.
It’s about understanding which biological systems are changing — and which levers you can actually influence.
That realization completely changed the way I approached my own health.
And it changed the way I work with women, too.
When I work with women 1:1, we have the time to dig into these changes and build personalized strategies around them.
But I know that not every woman is looking for — or able to invest in — 1:1 coaching.
And that’s exactly why I created something new.

I created the Beyond Estrogen Guide to pull back the curtain on the hormonal and metabolic changes that can happen during peri- and post-menopause.
Because estrogen matters.
But estrogen isn’t acting alone.
The guide explores the hidden hormonal players involved in the changes women commonly notice during this stage of life — including changes in blood sugar and insulin sensitivity, thyroid function, cortisol, hunger and satiety signals, weight, energy and sleep.
But understanding the biology is only half the equation.
The real question is:
That’s where the biochemical levers come in.
We’re talking about practical daily strategies such as:
These aren’t random “healthy habits.”
They’re targeted actions designed around the biology of menopause.
One of the most frustrating things I hear from women is:
“I don’t understand. I’m doing everything right. Why isn’t it working anymore?”
I get it.
Because I’ve been there.
But what I’ve learned is that your body isn’t broken.
Your biology is changing.
And once you understand what exactly is changing and why, you can start making different decisions about how you eat, move, sleep and take care of yourself.
That’s the whole reason I created the Beyond Estrogen Guide.
It’s not about fighting your body.
It’s about understanding it well enough to work with it.
The Beyond Estrogen Guide is now available inside RxGRIT, my gamified menopause coaching app.
RxGRIT takes the science behind menopause metabolism and turns it into 10 simple daily strategies designed to target the metabolic changes of this stage of life.
Learn the biology. Understand the levers. Take action.
Because menopause may change the biology — but it doesn’t mean you’re powerless over what happens next.
