Dessert that’s actually high in protein? Yes, please. 🍋
This lemon cottage cheese pudding is creamy, bright and tangy, and it comes together in about 10 minutes. Just blend four ingredients, pour it into bowls and let the fridge do the rest.
Each serving has 21g of protein for only about 150 calories, with just 5g of carbs and 5g of fat. That makes it a great option when you want something sweet that still works for your protein goals.
Why this works in menopause
As estrogen declines, it becomes harder to build and hold on to muscle, and getting enough protein through the day is one of the most useful ways to target that change.
Protein also helps you feel full and satisfied, and pairing it with very little sugar means a smaller blood sugar swing than a typical dessert. A creamy, sweet-tasting treat like this makes it much easier to stick with your goals without feeling deprived.
Make it your own
The pudding is lightly tangy, so you can adjust it to your taste. Stir in 2 tbsp of honey or maple syrup if you like it sweeter. Top it with fresh blueberries, lemon zest and a sprig of mint to make it feel special.
