Breakfast that tastes like blueberry cake, with 15g of protein per serving? Yes, please. 🫐
This cottage cheese breakfast bake is blended until smooth, mixed with rolled oats and frozen blueberries, and baked until golden. It’s one of the easiest make-ahead breakfasts I know.
Each of the 8 servings has about 15g of protein, 3g of fibre and only 4g of sugar, for around 177 calories.
Why this works in menopause
As estrogen declines, women often notice more muscle loss and more blood sugar swings. A breakfast that starts the day with protein, fibre from oats and berries, and very little sugar is a simple way to target both.
Protein early in the day also helps you feel full and satisfied, which can make it easier to avoid the mid-morning slump and the snacking that follows.
Make it ahead
Bake it once, cut it into 8 squares, and you have breakfast ready for several days. Keep it in the fridge for grab-and-go mornings, or freeze individual pieces and warm them up when you need one.
Like it sweeter? You can add a little honey or maple syrup, as noted in the recipe.
psst: wanna know what drives me crazy about searching for recipes online?
having to scroll through 57 pictures of the same food from different angles before you get to the actual recipe 😡
constant pop-ups and ads on the page
no nutritional values provided for the recipe
So I promise you will never find any of those here on our recipes!
And I’ll always give you the nutritional values 😊
